I really enjoy this. I am forming the habit of commenting on sites I enjoy. Please accept my thanks for what you are doing. Applause.
This makes me glad I was once a child and did so when Huckleberry Hound was new. Have you ever seen Little Golden Books that were mostly black and white with only a few pages in color. I remember seeing a Pinoccio book at my Grandma's house like that.

I do know what your talking about I have a few JP Miller, Gustaf Tenggren and Hanna Barbera books of that nature. Though they are not black and white but sepia(white and brown) with color illustrations on every other page or every couple of pages. I plan on posting a couple later this year.

i like the way he did the city in the beginning. a city seems like it would be an overwhelming task to illustrate, but he made it seem fun and simple and clean.
