Aw cute book! He's not so ugly, much better than some of the more "handsomer" dinosaurs!
I know thats the magic of Mel Crawford. He can be anything but appealing!
Great stuff! I have some Cave Kid's comics ( where they debuted - they were never animated), but didn't know about the Golden Book... much less a Mel Crawford one! By the way, this was originally published in 1963 - and the Cave Kids only ran in comics from 1962-67.

looks a little like some "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, Boom" influence on the parade scene...is that possible?
It depends on which came first, it might be the other way around!
